Aavegotchi has recently announced the upcoming Rarity Farming Season 8, which promises a substantial 150,000 GHST prize pool and a range of new features to enhance the competitive experience for players. This unique Web3 game combines NFT collectibles, decentralized finance (DeFi), and gaming into a captivating and engaging experience.
The tournament schedule for Season 8 includes several important dates that players need to mark in their calendars. Registration for the 10K GHST Tournament opens from June 17 at 2 PM to June 24 at 2 PM UTC, followed by the 40K GHST Tournament from July 1 at 2 PM to July 8 at 2 PM UTC. Finally, the registration for the 100K GHST Tournament will be open from July 8 at 2 PM to July 15 at 2 PM UTC. Each tournament round will begin 12 hours after the registration period closes, ensuring a smooth and organized progression throughout the season.
Players interested in joining the tournaments must visit the Gotchi Battler website, select the tournament they wish to participate in, and click the “Create Team” button. They are required to choose five Gotchis and two optional substitutes to form their team, designate a team leader, and decide on their formation. The ability to have two substitutes per team adds flexibility and strategic depth to the gameplay, enabling players to make crucial adjustments between rounds. Additionally, a preparation phase between rounds allows teams to fine-tune their strategies, swap Gotchis, change leaders, and modify formations for a tactical advantage in upcoming battles.
For players who may not have the required Gotchis to participate in the tournaments, the “Gotchi Lending” tab on the tournament page offers a solution. Players can rent eligible Gotchis to strengthen their teams, while those with unused Gotchis can lend them out to earn GHST through the official Aavegotchi dapp. A 168-hour lending period is recommended to cover the registration duration and ensure that wearables remain consistent before the tournament kicks off. Lenders are advised to set an upfront cost based on their Gotchi’s Base Rarity Score (BRS) and the prize pool of the tournament for fair and equitable transactions.
Season 8 introduces double-elimination tournaments, providing participants with two chances to compete before facing elimination. Teams that lose a match will move to the loser’s bracket, where they can fight their way back to the top. This format adds an extra layer of excitement and intensity to the competitions, as teams strive to stay in the running for the coveted prize pool. With the option to have two substitutes per team, players can strategically rotate Gotchis to counter opponents’ strategies and maximize their chances of success.
The Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 offers an array of new features and enhancements to elevate the competitive experience for players. From double-elimination tournaments and two substitutes per team to strategic preparation phases and Gotchi lending options, Season 8 is set to be an exciting and engaging spectacle. Players looking to test their skills and compete for a share of the 150,000 GHST prize pool should mark their calendars and prepare to enter the dynamic world of Aavegotchi.
