However, behind the scenes, it surreptitiously transfers tokens to unauthorized wallets after a transaction is completed. This deceptive behavior has led to significant financial losses for some Solana DeFi users.
The pseudonymous founder of Jupiter, known as Meow, along with partners, conducted a thorough investigation to trace the origins of the issue to the “Bull Checker” extension. It was discovered that the extension was targeting users on Solana-related subreddits, preying on individuals interested in meme coins. This kind of targeted approach made the malicious extension all the more dangerous and effective.
