Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 is an upcoming competition that aims to unite guilds from all corners of the globe in an intense showdown, offering a generous $1,000,000 USD prize pool. This substantial amount will be split between $500,000 in USDC cash and tokens, as well as $500,000 in NFTs. The event will not only feature intense competition but will also mark the introduction of the $ANIMA token and the launch of the S3 PvE dungeon for testing. Apeiron, a Web3 god game, seamlessly combines elements of simulation, action, and collectible card games on the Ronin blockchain.
Players, known as “Godlings” in the game, are tasked with managing NFT planets and adorable creatures called “Doods.” The game boasts a tri-token economy that facilitates the ownership, trading, and utilization of NFT assets. Combat in Apeiron is both strategic and card-based, adding a layer of complexity and depth to the gameplay experience.
The Guild Wars event will unfold in two distinct phases, offering a unique competitive experience for participants. The initial phase, known as the Guild Wars leaderboards, will run from May 21, 2024, to July 2, 2024. During this timeframe, web3 guilds can register and compete to secure top ranks on the leaderboards. Following the conclusion of the leaderboard phase, the event will transition to the Guild Wars Invitational. In this phase, the top 12 guilds from each region, Southeast Asia (SEA) and North America (NA), will battle it out for supremacy.
While specific details of the tournament are still being finalized, several key aspects have been disclosed. The tournament will utilize a double-elimination bracket format, meaning that participants will be eliminated after two losses. The top four seeded guilds will receive a first-round bye, automatically advancing to the second round. The grand finals of the tournament will be held in Hong Kong, with the top contenders flown in to compete.
Guild registration for the Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 event is currently open, with leaderboard competition commencing on May 21. To qualify for the Guild Wars Invitational, guilds must accumulate at least 1,000 ranked stars during the leaderboard phase. Alt-accounting is strictly prohibited, and guilds must have a minimum of 25 members or 300 followers to participate in the event.
Starting on May 21, 2024, players will have the opportunity to earn $ANIMA, the win-to-earn and player incentive token, within the game. This token will also be tradable on Katana Dex and can be used to enhance Apeiron NFTs. Additionally, $ANIMA will be available for in-game top-ups as Animus in the forthcoming Apeiron top-up store. Players who have accumulated $ANIMA Airdrop Points will see these points converted into battle-ready $ANIMA on the same date.
In conjunction with the Guild Wars event, Apeiron will introduce the S3 PvE dungeon for testing on May 23. This exciting new feature follows the successful open beta of the Apeiron Arena. Primeval owners will have exclusive early access to this feature via the #alpha-access channel on Discord, utilizing their Planet NFTs to test their Avatars in the PvE mode.
